ARTICLES OF FAITH

1.

1.

1.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12; Isaiah 55:8-9)

2.

1.

1.

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternal self-existent, self-revealed “I Am” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association: as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

(Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)

3.

3.

3.

We believe in the Creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; man’s total spiritual depravity, and inability to attain to Divine righteousness.

(Romans 5:12, 18)

4.

3.

3.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, promised by the Father, spoken of by the prophets, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.

(Luke 1:26-35; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6)

5.

5.

5.

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared unto His disciples.

(1 Corinthians 15:1-14; Romans 4:25)

6.

5.

5.

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus into heaven, His exaltation, and personal, literal, and bodily coming-again the second time for His Church.

(John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

7.

5.

7.

We believe Christ is the only hope for the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.

(Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11)

8.

8.

7.

The inward evidence to the believer of salvation is the direct witness of the spirit. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.

(Romans 8:16; 1 John 3:23)

9.

8.

9.

Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; faith without works is dead.

(Romans 10:9-10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7; James 2:14-26)

10.

10.

10.

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ to fulfill His command according to the Scriptures.

(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4)

11.

10.

10.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, a real experience at or subsequent to salvation, with Scriptural evidences, such as speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, manifestation of spiritual power in testimony, and operating in the gifts of the Spirit.

(1 Corinthians 12:8-10; Romans 12:6-8)

12.

10.

13.

We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12-14, as manifested in the Early Church.

13.

13.

13.

We believe the Scriptures teach a life of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. By the power of the Holy Ghost, we are able to obey the command “Be Holy, for I am Holy”. Sanctification is the will of God for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word.

(Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)

14.

13.

15.

We believe in Divine healing in its varied aspects.

(Romans 8:11; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14; Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-17)

15.

13.

15.

We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called the Communion of the Lord’s Supper, for believers.

(1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Matthew 26:26-28)

16.

16.

16.

We believe in the reality of the devil and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the devil and his angels.

(Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:14-15)

17.

16.

16.

We believe in eternal life for believers, and eternal punishment for unbelievers.

(John 5:24 and 3:16; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)

18.

16.

18.

We believe that there is one true universal Church, made-up of genuine believers, but this one universal Church is also composed of many local Churches in given localities. These Churches are under the sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as propagation of the Gospel.

(Acts 15:22; Matthew 18:15-20; Ephesians 1:1-22 and 2:19-22)
